Aether

Aether is a collaborative effort between video artist
Dillon de Give and dancer/choreographer Biba Bell. The film combines Bell’s interest in movement based site-specific projects, which play on the notions of traditional performance venue and de Give’s exploration of imposed/implied narrative.
Aether employs a classification of scenes (water, earth, fire, sky) to tell a story that exposes qualities of aether, described by Aristotle as eternal and neither heavy nor light. Aether is said to be found in its purest form in the celestrial regions.
